The research enterprise requires administrative and knowledge-based support services. These include:

• File Storage - mass storage facilities and policies for their use
• Account Creation - provision of access to appropriate systems
• Data Conversion - guidance and facilities for handling data file and media formats
• Data Management - assistance in how to acquire, preserve and program data
• Desktop Support - basic PC support services through local central support staff
